Tune up – Day 16

Walk by, Led by, Live by the Spirit

Galatians 5:16 NASB – “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.”
Galatians 5:18 – “But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.”
Galatians 5:25 – “If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.”

Think about it, really think about it. You have been designed to walk by the Spirit, be led by the Spirit, and live by the Holy Spirit! So are you?

23-circles

Look carefully at these two figures! Both represent Christians who are saved. One is living a defeated, flesh-controlled life; the other one is walking, being led, and living by the Spirit of God. Which one represents you?

Training Your Brain Exercise – Meditate

Today meditate upon Philippians 4:13 NASB.

Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

As you meditate, look at the previous verse—Philippians 4:12.

Philippians 4:12 – “I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.”

Now, consider this. Paul did not know how to get along with little or how to live with abundance. Even Paul had to learn how. It is a process conforming to the image of Christ. We can do all things through Christ is about developing new skills that come through doing God’s Word. Take ten minutes out of your day and really think, chew on, and consume the Word. We know you are busy, but I bet you ate some food today, and I bet that you will have three meals today. How much time did that take? Take ten minutes to have a spiritual meal; consume the Word and it becomes you.
