Tune up – Day 24

Be Strong in the Lord

The last Tune-Up was about how to be on the offensive and how to attack. You are not alone in this fight; you defend and attack with power!

How does the teeter-totter tip in the direction of the flesh? The threshold of thoughts produces emotions that tip the system into feelings. Depending on the side that the threshold falls determines the motivation and behavior of life.

Ephesians 6:10-11 NASB – “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.”

“Be strong” is the Greek word endunamao, a compound of the words en and dunamis. The word en has the emphasis of a continual process of being. The word dunamis means explosive strength, ability, and power. It’s where we get the word dynamite. Dynamite is powder power that is put into a receptacle. Thus, this word endunamao presents the picture of an explosive power that is being continually deposited into some type of receptacle or container. We are the vessel that the power is continually being deposited into.

Think about it. The very nature of this word endunamao means that this kind of power is created and only available to indwell the believer—WOW!

We are expressly designed by God (human design engineering) to be the receptacles of divine power. Think of how wonderful and miraculous it is that God specially designed you and me to be the vessels of His power!

Paul tells us to be strong in the Lord. He is saying to us: Continually be receiving a supernatural strengthening, an internal deposit of power into your inner man.

So when you feel a need for extra strength (endunamao), open your heart and allow God to give you an infilling of His explosive, Holy Spirit power and attack! The teeter-totter will fall on the side of TRUTH!
I can do all things through Him who strengthens (endunamao) me.
